ABORIGINAL HEALTH SERVICE

This project presented a rare opportunity to create a community focused resource on a greenfield site for  Albury Wodonga Aboriginal Health Service to deliver GP and allied health operations.

The circular planning is a response to the strong expression of inclusion that came from early meetings with the community.  The central courtyard is an important external landscape element and provides the focus for public spaces, defined by the only significant tree on the site.

The project has been discussed at specifically convened community meetings and we believe there is a high level of understanding and identification with the project.  Response from these meeting has cemented the following design criteria;
The project is visibly distinctive and provides a positive and confident image to the wider community
