AMITY TUMUT

This project involved a 36 bed extension to the existing 48 bed Amity Residential Aged Care facility in Tumut, NSW. The existing 4-bed rooms were refurbished and the lounge/dining rooms extended. The existing kitchen and laundry were replanned within their existing footprint to service the additional beds. Access to the site was altered to allow visitors to enter the building from the adjacent street so seperating the public and service entries. Part of the site was allocated for future expansion. The new building contains 18 low care beds in generally single rooms and 18 bed high care secure rooms. The planning of the extension optimises views and access to the landscaped gardens.
